Appointment in the garden

"Appuntamento in Giardino" is an initiative proposed by APGI - Associazione Parchi e Giardini d'Italia. The event, designed as an authentic garden festival, was born in accordance with the initiative "Rendez-vous aux jardins", which will take place simultaneously in many European countries. For the occasion Casa Carbone opens its garden to those who love plants and their peculiarities. You can be accompanied by an environmental and naturalistic guide: in the collected space of the delightful garden of the house, among lemons, oranges, grapefruits and tangerines, plants and shrubs meet that make it unexpected both for the views that gives that characteristic corners, all to be discovered. On both days, free visits and guided tours of the House Museum, at the indicated times, to get to know this house that documents life, the taste of living and the interests of a typical bourgeois family of the late nineteenth century. At 10.15 on Saturday and Sunday, departure of a 90-minute walk along the banks of the river Entella: a path completely immersed in nature to admire the rich fauna that lives and populates the waters of the river, a natural geographical element that distinguishes the territorial division of the towns of Lavagna and Chiavari. The experience is completed, in the late morning, with the visit of the house and the garden.
