What is the best way to visit Villa Arconati? Think of living it as the guests of the Milanese aristocracy visiting in the eighteenth century, "at the court" of Giuseppe Antonio Arconati! That’s why the entrance ticket is daily, that is, it allows you to stay at the Villa for the whole day, for those who want it. The free visit of the complex allows you to enjoy the "delights" of the site supported by the map delivered free of charge at the entrance and by the explanatory panels that are located in the most representative environments of the Palace and the Garden. In the Garden there are many stone benches located in different places, because in ancient times the noble guests visiting spent most of the day in the park, enjoying the coolness of the berceaux, jokes and water games, of the delicious citrus juice combined with the ice of the ancient Icehouse for refreshing sorbets. In the garden once there were also wild animals, the Deer Menagerie, and exotic birds such as ostriches. Today visitors will find... the family of our peacocks.
The Palace, devoid of ancient furnishings, is rich in history and the "stories" narrated by the sumptuous decorations, the result of the finest Lombard baroque style. In addition to a visit to enjoy the imposing trompe l'oeil frescoes, stucco and gilding, squares and backgrounds that open on clear painted skies**, you can live** some environments just like the old Guests: for example enjoying a delicious lunch in the Red Room, or sipping a tea or a refreshing drink under the loggia.
