Visit to the Secret Gardens of Villa Borghese with musical interlude

The Capitoline Superintendence - Artistic Heritage Directorate of the historic villas will participate in the initiative with an extraordinary opening of the Secret Gardens of Villa Borghese. Since the theme of the 2024 edition of "Appuntamento in Giardino" is "The Five Senses in the Garden", the initiative, in collaboration with the Galleria Borghese, includes a guided tour of the second and third secret gardens that will involve the five senses. After a historical illustration and a walk in the gardens, made in the first decade of the seventeenth century by Cardinal Scipione Borghese and characterized once by precious and rare blooms, by Angela Napoletano (duration ca. 1 hour)followed by a lute performance with Italian, French and English music between the mid-sixteenth and the first half of the seventeenth century by Gianluca Schingo (duration approx. 30 minutes), inside the Pavilion dell'Uccelliera. The visit will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024, 11:00-12:30 for a group of participants not exceeding 30, with an appointment in Piazzale Scipione Borghese.
