Opening of the exhibition "Performances useless in Villa" by Silvano Repetto

After the great success of his personal exhibition at MASI - Museo della Svizzera italiana, Silvano Repetto (Swiss artist and performer/Italian) presents his latest works at the beautiful Villa Arconati, headquarters of FAR - Augusto Rancilio Foundation.
Repetto moves within the painting, video, photography and especially in performance (on and in the places of the World).
Very famous are his "Unnecessary performance" for which it is collected in many National and International museums.
They say of him: Of Dadaist sign, Duchampian post-conciliar, partly fluxus, of pataphysical color, Silvano Repetto theorizes the absurd, the uselessness of his work starts from a playful attitude, light, surface, which feeds, however, in depth to the devices of waiting, of nullification of the word, of the strong gesture, of the peremptory sound, of figures like Samuel Beckett or like Buster Keaton._ - Viana Conti (art critic and historian).
At the Rooms of the Seasons of Villa Arconati you can see a selection of its most famous performances, and other brand new on site, with irony and carefree. These are photographs and videos inserted in the spaces of the Villa.
His works are also found at the Kunsthaus in Zurich, Republic and Canton Ticino, Muba Tourcoing Museum (France), Mamba Buenos Aires, 5610 Gallery Tokyo and many other public and private collections.
The exhibition will be open every Sunday from 02 June to 24 November 2024.
